Accountant

Position Title: Accountant

Location: Lakewood, Ohio

Description:

Roundstone Management, Ltd. is an Ohio based company that is seeking an experienced bookkeeper/Staff accountant with insurance/reinsurance experience, to assist the Accounting Department with its fast-growing captive management service operations.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Process and record premium remittances, claims activity, and adjusting entries in Quickbooks and ESL.

(2) Identify, record, reconcile and maintain records relative to premium receipts for 500+ customers.

(3) Communicate with and resolve premium discrepancies with external business partners.

(4) Assist in the processing of claim payments to external business partners.

(5) Assist in the preparation of routine and ad-hoc analysis and reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

(1) 5-7 years of relevant experience

(2) Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting

(3) Analytical thinker and problem solver

(4) Ability to effectively multi-task

Building/Maintenance Manager

Position Title: Building/Maintenance Manager

Location: Lakewood, Ohio

Roundstone is seeking a Building/Maintenance Manager to maintain the facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and property grounds.  Additional duties:

Exterior Duties:

— Pick-up debris around building

— Take Blue Recycling cans to the curb on Tuesday evenings for Wednesday pick-ups

— Water planters/landscaping (Summer months)

— Clean gutters on flat roofs on the 1st of every month

— Spread salt at doorways during Winter months

— Set out and take in outdoor furniture

— Sprinkler system

— Doorway windows

— Christmas decorations

— Change furnace filters on roof

Interior Duties:

— Replace light bulbs throughout building

— Take recycling out to blue cans

— Fix minor issues (toilets, locks, doors)

— Transfer packages throughout building via a dolly

— Handle quotes from contractors on major projects

— Meet w/contractors

— Change furnace filters 2x per year

— Keep up on any maintenance type issues in building

— Christmas decorations

— Set-up table/chairs for events

This is a “hand’s on” position and ideal for a retired individual looking to stay busy on their own schedule.  The building is a renovated church built in the 1920’s.   As the Building/Maintenance Manager, you will ensure that this classic building functions seamlessly as a modern office.

This position is 7-10 hours per week. You will be needed at the building on a daily basis, but there can be some flexibility with specific hours.

Experience:

(1) Prior experience with the maintenance of older buildings is strongly preferred.

(2) Having your own tools is a plus.

Key Skills:

(1) Working knowledge of building facilities.

(2) Ability to perform standard repairs and maintenance.

Data Analyst

Position Title: Data Analyst

Location: Lakewood, Ohio

Description:

As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing, compiling and interpreting Roundstone’s data. A primary focus will be to provide management with statistical findings and conclusions based on your analysis. You will support all departments with key insights developed through a review of internal information, provider data, and third-party administrator reports.

The majority of time will be spent with our medical stop loss program, although contribution to all Roundstone programs is expected. Consequently, experience with healthcare data analytics or health insurance data would be valuable.

Education and Experience:

(1) Bachelor’s degree is required. A major in Math, Statistics, Actuarial, Economics, Business, Finance or related field is strongly preferred.

(2) 3+ years of analytical or reporting experience required.

(3) Prior insurance or healthcare experience is preferred, but other relevant experience will be considered.

(4) Prior experience managing project implementations is preferred.

Key Skills:

(1) Analytical thinker and creative problem solver.

(2) Ability to articulate data trends to all staff.

(3) Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; Advanced Excel preferred.

(4) Proficient in SQL is required; Power BI and current analytic tools is a plus.

(5) Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

(6) Strong customer service and communication skills, including written and verbal communication.

(7) Able to work in cross-functional teams as well as independently.

(8) Self-motivated.

Medical Claims Examiner / Customer Service Specialist

Location: Lakewood, Ohio

Roundstone’s success has been a result of delivering solutions to employers confronted with escalating health insurance costs. We want to drive positive change across the industry, offering employers cost-saving solutions that don’t disrupt employee healthcare preferences, which includes expanding our affiliate TPA. We’re adding to our growing team to help deliver on our motto – Turning Risk into Results.

General Statement of Duties: 

– Ability to read, understand, and communicate medical benefits according to SPD language;

– Process medical, dental, or visions claims while providing customer service via inbound/outbound phone calls and written communications;

– Respond to inquiries and phone calls from providers, policyholders, and agents regarding benefits, coverage, or claims status in accordance with established performance expectations;

– Prompt and timely processing of claims accurately according to established expectations (150 claims per day);

– Process claims in accordance with benefit contracts, plan policies, and production/quality requirements;

– Prior to claim adjudication, establish proof of loss by reviewing and understanding medical documentation; assembling additional information as required from outside sources, including claimant, physician, employer, hospital, and other insurance companies; initiating or conducting investigation of questionable claims;

– Maintain quality customer services through call center; follow customer service practices; adhere to timely expectations according to established expectations (50 calls per day);

– Request and follow-up on additional information as needed for incomplete claims, to include but not limited to COB, accident investigations, eligibility, etc.;

– Familiar with and understands various fee schedules;

– May include but are not limited to: processing claims, claim system testing, over/under payments and special projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

– Knowledge of TPA administrative services, policies, procedures and systems, testing of plan setup;

– 3+ years experience processing Medical, Dental, Vision claims applying appropriate benefits;

– Previous customer service call center experience preferred;

– Certified in Medical Terminology I, II and ICD9/10 knowledge;

– Excellent verbal, communication, and written skills with strong organizational and research skills;

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access);

– Must be detail-oriented, have ability to work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks with deadlines;

– Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills a plus.

Relationship Manager

Position Title: Relationship Manager

Location: Lakewood, Ohio

Description:

Demonstrates proactive ability to diagnose and fix root cause drivers of service problems. Develops and manages service plans in the most proactive and strategic manner possible. Proactively identifies potential service issues and takes steps to resolve those service issues that arise. Takes the lead on management of the integration of client’s and Roundstone’s internal organizations, with full responsibility for ensuring a smooth implementation that will be a building block to gaining the trust of employer groups. Educates customers on Roundstone specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics.

Key Responsibilities:

(1) Understand the background of each employer group & advisor

(2) Collaborate to ensure a positive customer implementation onto the Roundstone/Bywater platform

(3) Timely and accurate issue resolution and management of potential escalations

(4) Collaborate with the CSI team to assure the employer’s health plan design is optimized

(5) Developing relationships with partnered vendors while conveying information, educating, and ensuring there is an understanding of any and all issues for all parties involved.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

(3) 3-5 years of insurance industry experience, working for an insurance company, wholesaler, managing general agent or underwriter

(4) Customer Service experience
